B501-BH-3 Intelligent Sounder Base
General Description
- The B501BH-3 sounder base is used with Notifier intelligent detectors. Refer to the appropriate manual for more information on detectors.
- The B501BH-3 sounder base was designed specifically to meet the needs of dwelling unit applications. It offers maximum flexibility in configuration and operation to meet or exceed the requirements of FM3150.
- The sounder base is capable of producing either the distinctive three-pulse temporal pattern (ANSI Temporal 3) fire alarm signal now required by NFPA 72 for commercial and residential applications or a continuous tone by simply setting toggle switch from the device. Additionally, the B501BH-3 is designed to be compatible with existing installations of B200S(R) sounder bases.
- The sounder base is intended for use with intelligent systems. It requires an external 24VDC supply or communication loop power supply, which is set by using a DPDT slide switch. The sounder base is capable of sounding in high volume or low volume with or without gradient tone. Work-alone mode or synchronization mode is also settable. These functions can independently set by two toggle switches. Refer to the panel manual for maximum allowable number of units per loop.
